A 23 year old male patient came to our office complaining of severe neck pain radiating down his arm without any history of injury. We took cervical x-rays and found forward head posture and zero cervical curve(Normal-approx 43º), which was causing his neck and arm pain. After 12 visits of Corrective Spinal Rehabilitation, patient structurally improved by 85% and his pain was completely gone.

36 year old female comes to the office complaining of severe neck pain that radiates into right trapezius muscle. Decrease Range of Motion in all directions, and pain exacerbates when driving and working out. Exam and X-ray show reverse neck curve (-8°, Normal should be +43°) and forward head posture of 5 mm (Normal is 0 mm). Her recommendations were treatment 3x/week and corrective care exercises. After 24 Corrective Rehabilitation visits, she mentioned that she had no pain and felt less stress. Her post x-rays show positive neck curve of 33° and no more forward head posture. She continues to sustain her posture and spinal alignment through maintenance care of 2x/month.

Chiropractors take x-rays to reveal the structure and alignment of the spine. It allows the chiropractor to see exactly where injury has taken place so we may provide a more accurate and precise adjustment to the misaligned bone and surrounding soft tissues. X-rays are used to visually educate the patients as well. In my office, patients are educated about reading normal vs. abnormal x-rays so they may be proficient enough to see which vertebrae are misaligned and what can be done for correction. We are also concerned about other disease processes of the spine such as arthritis, bone spurs, spinal curvature, tumors, degenerative joint and disc diseases.
